Live al Centrale66, un regalo (per noi)

Le cose sono andate così. I Baffodoro, con cui avevamo già suonato prima che iniziasse tutto lo stop a causa della pandemia, ci contattano lunedì: “venite a suonare con noi venerdì a Modena? Purtroppo i Rev Rev Rev non riescono a essere presenti”. Non suoniamo dal vivo da un sacco di tempo, ci stiamo impegnando in sala prove per arrivare al meglio alla prossima registrazione del nostro secondo EP.

Che facciamo?
Certo che andiamo!

E abbiamo fatto benissimo. Ci teniamo a ringraziare tutti i ragazzi del Centrale66, un locale speciale nel centro di Modena dove trovare musica dal vivo; ringraziamo i Baffodoro che hanno pensato a noi (siamo fratelli separati alla nascita); e ringraziamo i Rev Rev Rev per essere venuti a sentirci, nonostante tutto (ci stiamo ascoltando in loop la loro discografia).

That’s what happened. Baffodoro, with whom we had already played before the stop due to the pandemic began, contacted us on Monday: “come and play with us on Friday in Modena? Unfortunately Rev Rev Rev can’t play”. We haven’t played live in a long time, we are working hard in the rehearsal room to get the best out of the next recording of our second EP.

What are we doing?
Sure we go!

And we did very well. We would like to thank all the guys of Centrale66, a special venue in the center of Modena where you can find live music; we thank the Baffodoro who thought of us (we are brothers separated at birth); and we thank Rev Rev Rev for coming to hear us, despite everything (we are listening to their discography in loop).

A Carpi, il presidio di Libera è intitolato a Peppe Tizian, vittima innocente di mafia, uomo integerrimo che non si è piegato ai voleri di uomini malvagi che gestivano (e gestiscono ancora?) malaffare e malavita. Gli presero la vita, rendendolo immortale. I ragazzi di Libera ci hanno invitato per onorare la sua figura e noi ne siamo grati.

Siamo tornati a suonare dal vivo, l’ultima volta che abbiamo tenuto un concerto è stato poco prima del lockdown. Di nuovo, scesi dal palco, è iniziato un nuovo periodo di chiusura.

In Carpi, the Libera garrison is named after Peppe Tizian, an innocent victim of the mafia, a man of integrity who did not bow to the will of evil men who managed (and still manage?) ill-dealings and underworld. They took his life, making him immortal. The guys from Libera invited us to honor his figure and we are grateful.

We came back to playing live, the last time we held a concert was just before the lockdown. Again, as we got off the stage, a new closing period began.

La Tenda Live, an unexpected success

Quello di sabato 15 febbraio non è stato solo un concerto. È stato un regalo.

Una data quasi improvvisata senza nessuna aspettativa si è rivelata inaspettatamente la più bella della nostra esperienza. E per questo dobbiamo ringraziare… Ringraziamo Fulvio per averci contattato, Tony per l’accoglienza e i suoni (davvero molto molto bravo), così come tutto lo staff de La Tenda.

Ma la vera sorpresa sono stati i Baffodoro… Il feeling che si è creato con loro fin da subito è stato il reale surplus della serata. Grazie regaz di essere rimasti fino alla fine.

Ringraziamo anche Tinnitus che nonostante il preavviso minimo si è sbattuto per esserci e… Cazzo che foto.

Un ultimo ringraziamento a tutti quelli che sono venuti per ascoltarci, che siano essi amici vecchi o nuovi o semplici curiosi, speriamo possiate esservi divertiti come ci siamo divertiti noi. Grazie di cuore a tutti!

Saturday was not just a concert. It was a gift. An almost improvised date without any expectations turned out to be the most beautiful of our experience. And for this we have to thank …

We thank Fulvio for inviting us, Tony for sound engineering (really very very good), as well as all the staff of La Tenda.

But the real surprise was the Baffodoro… The feeling that was created with them immediately was the real plus of the evening. Thanks dudes for attended until the end.

L’ultima data del 2019 è stato un ritornare in uno spazio splendido, uno degli ultimi luoghi dove si osa la musica più avanguardista e indipendente.

Ora torniamo nel silenzio produttivo della sala prove e delle serate tranquille, dove non esiste l’orologio e si ragiona della vita, della morte e del futuro. Per un 2020 coinvolgente.

Our last date of 2019 was a return to a splendid space, one of the last places where is daring the most avant-garde and independent music.

Now let’s return to the productive silence of the rehearsal room and of the quiet evenings, where the clock doen’t exist and we can reason about life, death and the future. For a 2020 full of art.

Raccontare in poche righe il Festival ad Alta Intensità Antifascista sarebbe estremamente difficile. Sono stati due giorni veramente intensi, dove persone diversissime hanno condiviso idee e pensieri e sogni per un’Italia diversa, migliore, dove non esistono esclusioni. Dove ogni persona è rispettata, dove lo Stato è al servizio di tutti e non solo per alcuni.

Lo abbiamo già scritto più volte: siamo orgogliosi di aver partecipato suonando le nostre idee, la nostra voglia di vivere e i desideri per il mondo dei nostri figli.

Il ricordo del nostro live, preceduto dal punk hardcore dei The Green Bengala, rimane vivo grazie alle foto di Federico.

Talking about the Festival ad Alta Intensità Antifascista in a few lines could be extremely difficult. Two really intense days, where very different people shared ideas and thoughts and dreams for a different, better Italy: a country where people can be accepted without exclusions. Where every person is respected, where the State is at the service of all and not just for some.

We have already written several times: we are proud to have participated playing our ideas, our desire to live, and our dreams for the world of our children.

The memory of our live, preceded by the hardcore punk of The Green Bengala, remains alive thanks to Federico’s photos.
