Nelle ultime settimane, viviamo ogni momento di ozio per andare nell’iperuranio e cercare suoni che ancora non sono nella nostra realtà.

Vorremmo avere più tempo per poter rimanere insieme, chiusi nella stanza liberante, con i nostri strumenti. Ma, fortunatamente, abbiamo anche altri impegni, famiglie, lavori che ci costringono a non rinchiuderci in noi stessi.

Apprezziamo molto questo equilibrio instabile.

Durante questo periodo prolifico, abbiamo anche conosciuto un nuovo amico che è venuto a sbirciare le nostre prove. Con una macchina fotografica ha trovato luci che sembrano suoni, ombre che sembrano chitarre, colori che diventano armonie.

In the last few weeks, we spent every moment of leisure in the hyperuranium and seek for sounds that are not yet in our life.

We’d like to have more time to stay together, in the liberating room, with our guitars and instruments. Luckily, we also have other business, families, jobs that force us not to lock ourselves in ourselves.

We really appreciate this unstable balance.

During this prolific period, we also met a new friend who came to peek at our rehearsals. With a camera he found lights that look like sounds, shadows that look like guitars, colors that become harmonies.

È passato un anno da quando (P)rose EP è stato pubblicato.

Circa 2000 stream grazie ai vari servizi (Spotify e Apple Music in particolare), in 17 Paesi.
Nuove amicizie.

E non abbiamo assolutamente voglia di fermarci.

Nel corso del 2020 uscirà un nuovo EP con 4 nuovi brani e inizieremo la produzione del nostro podcast ufficiale.

It’s been a year since (P)rose – EP was released.

8 concerts. Approximately 2000 streams thanks to various services (especially Spotify and Apple Music), in 17 countries. New friendships.

And we absolutely have no intention of stopping.

In the course of 2020, a new EP with 4 new songs will be released, and we will begin the production of our official podcast.

Populism makes you stupid

E niente, diventa difficile parlare solo di musica e arte.

Sentiamo troppo forte il senso di responsabilità nei confronti della cosa pubblica, non possiamo stare zitti quando vediamo certi spettacoli indegni.

Da alcuni anni, la politica italiana (come anche quella di tutto il mondo occidentale) è diventata inascoltabile, incoerente, indigesta e inutile. Ma lo spettacolino più recente dei populisti-sovranisti italiani è qualcosa di inaudito.

Ignoranti delle più elementari regole economiche, sembra non sappiano nemmeno fare un’addizione. Viscidi come vermi, parassitano le credenze dei più semplici per consolidare il loro pubblico.

Cercano risonanza mediatica, cercano di fare più confusione di chi potrebbe avere qualche proposta.

Ma c’è qualcuno che ha qualche proposta? Guardando il panorama politico italiano, non sembra affatto…

Il populismo rende stupidi: anche quelli che potrebbero vagamente portare qualcosa di utile nel dibattito pubblico, si abbassano a livelli istintuali e animaleschi, cercando di non perdere consensi.

Noi vorremmo una politica diversa, che sappia proporre e praticare processi solidaristici, umani. C’è vita su questo pianeta?

It’s hard for us to talk only about music and art.

Our sense of responsibility towards res publica is too strong, we cannot stay in silence when politicians are so shameless.

For some years, Italian politics (as well as that of the entire Western world) has become unlistenable, inconsistent, indigestible and useless. But the most recent show of Italian populist-sovereignists is unseen yet.

Ignoring of the most elementary economic rules, it seems they don’t even know how to make an addition. Lousy like worms, they parasitize the beliefs of the simplest to consolidate their public.

They seek media resonance, they try to make more confusion than those who might have some proposals.

But is there anyone who has any proposals? Looking at the Italian political scene, it doesn’t seem at all…

Populism makes us stupid: even those who could vaguely bring something useful in the public debate, lower themselves to instinctual and animalistic levels, trying not to lose support.

We would like a different politics, which know how to propose and practice solidarity and human processes. Is there any life on this planet?

L’ultima data del 2019 è stato un ritornare in uno spazio splendido, uno degli ultimi luoghi dove si osa la musica più avanguardista e indipendente.

Ora torniamo nel silenzio produttivo della sala prove e delle serate tranquille, dove non esiste l’orologio e si ragiona della vita, della morte e del futuro. Per un 2020 coinvolgente.

Our last date of 2019 was a return to a splendid space, one of the last places where is daring the most avant-garde and independent music.

Now let’s return to the productive silence of the rehearsal room and of the quiet evenings, where the clock doen’t exist and we can reason about life, death and the future. For a 2020 full of art.

Sono passati 35 anni da quando si è scoperta la correlazione causale tra virus HIV e la malattia AIDS (sindrome da immunodeficienza acquisita).
La storia di questa malattia letale è costellata da innumerevoli successi: dopo le prime terapie, si è arrivati alla terapia antiretrovirale ad alta efficacia, poi alle terapie di nuova generazione. Oggi, in Occidente, acquisire il virus HIV non è più una condanna: la vita può continuare normalmente, grazie a farmaci innovativi e con pochissimi effetti secondari.
Non abbiamo un vaccino, vero. Ma negli ultimi 10 anni sono stati fatti ulteriori passi avanti, grazie alla ricerca scientifica e farmaceutica:

  • il più importante in assoluto, è la scoperta che le persone che usano correttamente le terapie, così da riuscire ad azzerare la quantità di virus nel sangue, non possono trasmettere l’infezione attraverso i rapporti sessuali (U = U);
  • la seconda più importante è la PrEP, cioè la “profilassi pre-esposizione”: le persone che si espongono al rischio di acquisire l’HIV possono accedere a una determinata terapia antiretrovirale, così da ridurre praticamente a zero le possibilità di incontrare il virus. La PrEP ha una efficacia pressoché identica a un ottimo vaccino.

Tuttavia, i passi da fare sono ancora tantissimi, in particolare è necessario mantenere elevata l’attenzione dei più giovani e spingere tutti a fare un test di screening per HIV: troppe persone non sanno di avere acquisito il virus e, senza le adeguate terapie, possono perpetuare l’epidemia e mettono in pericolo la propria vita.

Se non avete mai eseguito un test HIV, oggi è la giornata ideale per aggiungerlo ai propositi della settimana: il test è gratuito in tutti i centri di Malattie Infettive.

PS: non dovete credere a quegli stronzi dei negazionisti dell’HIV/AIDS. A causa loro, troppe persone non hanno avuto accesso alle terapie antiretrovirali e sono morte.
PPS: al momento, non abbiamo preservativi da vendere con il nostro merchandise, ma chissà che un giorno…

It’s been 35 years since the discovery of the causal correlation between HIV and AIDS desease (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). The history of this lethal desease is studded with countless successes: after the first therapies, we developed the antiretroviral therapy at high efficacy, then the therapies of new generation came on. Today, in the Western world, getting infected with HIV is not a life sentence anymore: life can carry on normally, thanks to innovative drugs and very few side effects.
We don’t have a vaccine, true that. But in the last 10 years we made even more steps further, thanks to scientific and pharmaceutical research:

  • the most important of all is the finding that people who use the therapies correctly, so to reduce the amount of virus in the bloodstream to zero, cannot transmit the infection through sexual intercourse (U = U);
  • the second most important advancement is Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, or PrEP for short: people who expose themselves to the rick of getting HIV can access a specific antiretroviral therapy, so to reduce the chances to getting infected to practically zero. PrEP has nearly the same efficacy of a good vaccine.

However, many more steps are yet to be made. It is particularly critical to maintain high awareness among the young, and encourage everyone to do a screening test for HIV: too many people are unaware of being infected and, without proper medications, they can spread the epidemic and put their own life in danger.

If you never did a HIV test, today is the ideal day to add it to your weekly todo list: the test is free of charge in all Infectious Desease centers.

PS: you must not believe those sick HIV/AIDS negationist bastards. Because of them, too many poeple did not have access to antiretroviral therapies and have died as a consequence.

PPS: to date, we do not have condoms to sell along with our merchandise, but who knows that maybe one day…
