“Fratelli separati alla nascita”

Quando abbiamo sentito suonare i Baffodoro, la prima sensazione è stata quella di non essere soli. C’era qualcun altro con cui condividere la difficile scelta di suonare musica strumentale per il semplice piacere di costruire qualcosa di bello.
Poi, quando abbiamo iniziato a parlare con loro, è scattato qualcosa di più del semplice interesse. Ci siamo detti: “sembriamo fratelli separati alla nascita, finalmente ritrovatisi”.

In 3 anni, abbiamo condiviso il palco 3 volte e ogni concerto è stato meglio di quella precedente. Così, abbiamo deciso di invitarli nel nostro spazio di parole, Talking Radar: per questioni logistiche, la chiacchierata con Riccardo, Stella, Lorenzo e Luca P. è avvenuta in videocall. E, di nuovo, è stato come se ci conoscessimo da sempre: vibriamo proprio sulle stesse corde. Per preparare questa puntata ci siamo divertiti un casino, alla fine della fiera è venuta un po’ più lunga del solito e, aperta e chiusa parentesi, dobbiamo assolutamente trovarci a cena assieme.

La prima sezione del podcast è stata registrata da Pit: fa parte della collana La musica che ci ha formato, dandoci la possibilità di capire dove nascono certe sonorità delle chitarre dei Radar 5:11.

“Siblings Separated at Birth”

When we heard Baffodoro play, the first feeling was that we weren’t alone. There was someone else to share the difficult choice of playing instrumental music for the simple pleasure of building something beautiful.
Then, when we started talking to them, there was more than just interest. We said to ourselves: “we look like brothers separated at birth, finally reunited”.

In 3 years, we have shared the stage 3 times and each concert has been better than the one before. So, we decided to invite them to our talking space, Talking Radar: for logistical reasons, the chat with Riccardo, Stella, Lorenzo and Luca P. took place via videocall. And, again, it was as if we had known each other forever: we vibrate right on the same strings. We had a lot of fun preparing this episode, at the end of the fair it took a little longer than usual and, open and closed parentheses, we absolutely have to meet for dinner together.
