Siamo davvero felici e non stiamo nella pelle. Domenica si avvicina e potremo suonare sul palco del Festival ad alta intensità antifascista di Carpi, assieme ai The Green Bengala: due giorni di bellissime iniziative culturali di spessore, dibattiti, arte… Ci sono tutti gli elementi per contrastare la regressione culturale iniziata qualche anno fa, quando si è consumata definitivamente la frattura tra progresso e società, dando il via a una nuova stagione fertile per le destre sovraniste e suprematiste.

Ci sarà CHEAP, con il loro progetto di street art che traduce in veste grafica il discorso (profetico?) di Umberto Eco sul “fascismo persistente”.

Servono anticorpi giganteschi contro la cultura xenofoba e narcisistica che sembra imperare in Occidente (e in Italia particolarmente). Forse essere così diversi tra noi, per percorsi di studi e di vita, ci aiuta a mantenerci aperti e sensibili ai drammi che i nostri figli rischiano di dover affrontare.

Domenica suoneremo, oltre ai 4 brani contenuti in (P)rose, anche due nuovi pezzi che cercano di allenare la nostra compassione verso l’altro, l’attenzione nei confronti del Pianeta che è e che sarà.

Vogliamo sognare già ora un futuro migliore.

We are really happy and we are excited. Sunday is close and we’ll play on the stage of the Festival ad alta intensità antifascista in Carpi with The Green Bengala: two days of beautiful cultural initiatives, debates, art… The elements to face the cultural regression started a few years ago, when the fracture between progress and society was consumed definitively, giving way to a new fertile season for the nationalist and suprematist right wings.

There will be CHEAP, with their street art project that translates Umberto Eco’s (prophetic?) discourse on “persistent fascism” into a graphic project.

We need powerful antibodies against the xenophobic and narcissistic culture that seems to prevail in the West (and in Italy in particular). Maybe our different personalities, through studies and life, helps us to keep ourselves open and sensitive to the dramas that our children risk having to face.

On Sunday we will play, in addition to the 4 songs contained in (P)rose, also two new pieces that try to train our compassion towards the other, the attention towards the Planet that is and will be.

We want to dream of a better future already now.
