Una serata perfetta

Temple Bar, Sassuolo.
Una sala, più precisamente una ex stalla di campagna, piena di gente. Un gazebo con un piccolo palco, stipato di persone: nonostante sia senza riscaldamento e fuori ci siano 4°C, ci siamo scaldati con il vino e con gli abbracci. È così tanto l’affetto degli amici dei Baffodoro che quasi non ci si muove. Amici e fans che sono affamati di musica e suoni, non solo di tortellini.
Una serata perfetta, così come doveva essere. Noi abbiamo dato il nostro contributo con un live passionale e spassionato, dando tutte le energie che avevamo conservato e alimentato. Nonostante una corda rotta di una chitarra, una chitarra rotta ma con tutte le corde, una testata valvolare fusa, una tracolla che si spezza… tutto è andato al suo posto.
Grazie a chi c’è stato, grazie a Daniele Braglia per aver suonato prima di noi e grazie, ancora una volta, ai nostri amici Riccardo, Lorenzo, Luca (Pigo), Luca (Bazzu), Luca (Ruvido), Luca (Lucius) e Stella per averci dato la possibilità di esserci.

Temple Bar, Sassuolo.
A venue, more precisely a former country stable, filled with people. A gazebo with a small stage, packed with individuals: despite being without heating and with the temperature outside at 4°C, we warmed up with wine and hugs. The affection from Baffodoro‘s friends is so overwhelming that one can hardly move. Friends and fans hungry for music and sounds, not just for tortellini.
An evening that was perfect, just as it was meant to be. We contributed with a passionate and unpretentious live performance, giving all the energy we had stored and nurtured. Despite a broken string on a guitar, a guitar with a broken body but all its strings, a blown valve amp, a strap that snapped… everything fell into place.
Thanks to everyone who was there, thanks to Daniele Braglia for playing before us, and thanks, once again, to our friends Riccardo, Lorenzo, Luca (Pigo), Luca (Bazzu), Luca (Ruvido), Luca (Lucius), and Stella for giving us the opportunity to be there.

Un anniversario a cui non si può mancare

La maggior parte delle band dura alcuni anni. Solo alcune riescono a superare certi anniversari, soprattutto senza mai cambiare formazione. Soprattutto se non fai quel successo che porta su grandi palchi.

Arrivare a 25 anni di attività, di sala prove, di concerti in piccoli club e piccoli festival, è un traguardo davvero speciale. Dobbiamo quindi fare tantissimi complimenti ai Baffodoro, nostri “fratelli”, per la loro costanza: la loro amicizia si mescola indissolubilmente alla musica.

Most bands only last for a few years. Only a few manage to reach certain anniversaries, especially without ever changing their lineup, especially if you don’t achieve the kind of success that lands you on big stages.

Reaching 25 years of activity, of rehearsals, of performances in small clubs and small festivals, is a truly special milestone. So, we must give a lot of credit to Baffodoro, our “brothers”, for their perseverance: their friendship is inseparably intertwined with their music.

Come è andata a Carpi

Serve un grande ringraziamento per gli organizzatori della Festa de L’Unità e del Concentrico Festival per averci invitato sui rispettivi palchi.
Sono stati due eventi molto divertenti, dove ci siamo sentiti completamente liberi nelle nostre performance.
E un altro immenso ringraziamento a tutti gli amici, vecchi e nuovi, presenti sotto ai palchi. Il calore, l’entusiasmo, le vibrazioni che percepiamo durante i live sono fondamentali per la vita stessa dei nostri brani e dei nostri suoni.

Mattia Medici ha curato le splendide foto che hanno immortalato alcuni momenti del concerto al Parco della Cappuccina (non ci abitueremo mai a certi scatti), mentre Giuseppe Tinnirello è riuscito a trovare luci e colori dove noi vedevamo solo neon.

A big thank you goes out to the organizers of the Festa de L’Unità and Concentrico Festival for inviting us to their respective stages. It was two incredibly enjoyable events where we felt completely free in our performances.

Another immense thank you goes to all the friends, old and new, who were present below the stages. The warmth, enthusiasm, and vibrations we feel during our live shows are essential to the very life of our songs and sounds.

Mattia Medici took care of the splendid photos that captured some moments of the concert at Parco della Cappuccina (we will never get used to such shots), while Giuseppe Tinnirello found lights and colors where we saw neon only.

Intervista in Radio Antenna Uno

Lunedì 29 giugno, Manu e Pit sono stati ospiti durante la trasmissione When the music is cover di Radio Antenna Uno, condotta da Diego Cortese. La trasmissione è stata un’occasione bellissima per dialogare di musica, film, ambiente, arte, sogni, desideri, progetti… Una intervista sui generis, un saltare da un tema all’altro grazie a clip di film (proposti da Stefano, assente per un problema lavorativo): non è possibile riassumere quell’ora in diretta via etere con poche parole scritte. Quindi non lo faremo. Ascoltatela e, se vi va, fateci sapere che ne pensate.

On Monday, June 29th, Manu and Pit were guests on the radio show When the music is cover on Radio Antenna Uno, hosted by Diego Cortese. The show (obviously, completely in Italian) was a wonderful opportunity to discuss music, movies, the environment, art, dreams, desires, and projects. It was a unique interview, jumping from one topic to another with the help of film clips (suggested by Stefano, who was absent due to work issues). It is impossible to summarize that live hour on the airwaves in a few written words, so we won’t do it. Listen to it, and if you’d like, let us know what you think.
